About 150 km from Thessaloniki, it is the beautiful harbor of Kavala and about 20 km away, the archaeological site of Philippi. The most important sights include monuments located at the foot of the Acropolis.
You can also visit a theater that was built by Philip II and is incorporated into the hillside. Another interesting place to visit, which is near the ancient theater, in a rock’s rock, is the sanctuary of Pan.
At the center of the area is the paved area of the large rectangular Amphitheater, which you can also visit. Interesting are the ruins of Basilica I and the great Basilica B, which will take you back in time.
